Kwashiorkor

Kwashiorkor is a form of malnutrition that occurred when there was not enough protein in food. Kwashiorkor is common in areas hit by hunger, lack of food supply, or low education level (when people do not understand how to eat a good diet)This disease is more common in these countries is very poor. Common during dry seasons or other natural disaster, or during political unrest. This condition causes a lack of food, causing malnutrition.

People who need treatment immediately shock to restore blood volume and maintain blood pressure.Calories are given first in the form of carbohydrates, sugar and fat. Proteins are started after other calorie sources already provides energy. Supplements of vitamins and essential minerals.Because many people would have been without food for long periods, eating can cause problems, especially if the calories are too high at first. Food should be reintroduced slowly. Given the first carbohydrate to supply energy, followed by foods that contain protein.
